Climate Conversations: Talking About Climate Change in High School Classrooms

In partnership with Delaware Interfaith Power and Light, Delaware Pathways to Green Schools is hosting a Climate Conversations event for high school teachers!

Climate Conversations events, funded by Energize Delaware, aim to create opportunities to openly, candidly and respectfully discuss issues related to climate change; to share individual beliefs, confusions, observations, fears and hopes; to explore practical ideas and available resources for creating a healthier planet.

This event will focus on tools and strategies for high school teachers to talk about climate change with their students. Before engaging in a group discussion, we will hear from three speakers:

Krysta Hougen-Ryall, Environmental Communications Specialist at NOAA Environmental Science Training Center

Bertie Miller, Sustainability Coordinator at St. Andrews School

Christopher Duvall, Science Teacher at Appoquinimink High School

Teachers can earn 1.5 professional development credit hours for this event.
