Birds and Climate Change: A Climate Conversation

According to a recent study by The National Audubon Society, the bird population in North America has fallen by 25 percent since 1970, with the continent now home to 3 billion fewer birds than about half a century ago.
Our Birds experts will tell us how the bird population is getting impacted by the climate crisis and the warming world around us. Followed by a short talk on meaningful legislation that can help accelerate climate action in Delaware and help us achieve net zero by 2050.
This conversation will be co-hosted by Delaware Audubon Society, Delaware Nature Society and Delaware Sierra Club.
Dr. Ian Stewart, Ornithologist, Delaware Nature Society
Steve Cottrell, President, Delaware Audubon Society
Dustyn Thompson,
Advocacy and Outreach Organizer
Delaware Sierra Club
After the presentations we will have 15-20 minutes for Q & A.
The Climate Conversation Program is funded by Energize Delaware.
